The spring rapeseed variety Tapir underwent testing and was cultivated within breeding programs in Germany in the early 2000s. At present, it belongs to varieties of past breeding years and is practically not found in lists of modern high-yielding hybrids.
The plant was intended for agricultural use, including seed production and the cultivation of forage crops.
