The winter oilseed rape variety Verona belongs to open-pollinated varieties. In agronomic studies, this variety demonstrated some of the highest indicators of the duration of leaf surface functioning, which was assessed as a factor of high production potential.
The variety was also used as a model object in laboratory and hydroponic studies to investigate the physiological responses of rapeseed to exposure to heavy metals, including cadmium, nickel, and mercury.
