The variety is intended for feeding sheep, beef and dairy cattle, and is valued for its high nutritional value and digestibility. The plant has a short or medium stem, with about 60% of the mass consisting of leaves that have characteristic purple pigmentation.

The growing period is from 150 to 220 days. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases, and the ability to withstand low temperatures and snow load.
