The variety is mid-late, with a growing period of 55–60 days, while harvesting can continue until the onset of persistent frosts. The crop reaches a height of 0.6 to 1 meter.

The plant forms corrugated curly leaves, which are consumed fresh, stewed, or steamed. After exposure to the first frosts, the flavor qualities of the leaves improve, becoming more tender.

Due to its decorative appearance, the plant is often used in landscape design. The variety is characterized by high resistance to low temperatures.
