The name D'Erfurt (also known as Erfurt, Erfurter or Erfurter Zwerg) refers to a historical group of cauliflower varieties. It is a classic representative of European breeding, associated with the traditional vegetable growing school of the city of Erfurt.

The plant is traditionally classified as an early or mid-early variety. The name "Erfurter Zwerg" (Erfurt dwarf) indicates the compact size of the bush. The variety was intended for obtaining early marketable produce and in the past was contrasted with later variety types, such as Lenormand.
