The variety is late-maturing, the period from sowing to harvest is about 210 days. The plant is tall and possesses a developed leaf apparatus, which provides protection for the forming heads.

The average weight of the head reaches 1.6–1.8 kg, the color of the inflorescences is white. In the conditions of Italy, harvesting is carried out in the period from mid-November to mid-January. The variety requires cultivation in deep, organic-rich soils.

Traditionally, the variety is used in Italian cuisine, in particular, it is a key ingredient of the classic Neapolitan Christmas salad, rinforzo.
