The variety is an early-maturing hybrid with a ripening period of about 40 days from the moment of transplanting. Plants form dense dark green heads 6–7 inches (approximately 15–18 cm) in diameter.

The variety was distinguished by low maintenance and was especially adapted for spring cultivation. After harvesting the main head, the plant is capable of producing side shoots if care is continued. It was used primarily fresh and for culinary purposes.
