The Top Green (or Top Green F1) variety is intended for commercial production and is frequently mentioned in agricultural studies in the context of farming in countries with hot climates, such as Thailand and Nepal.

Under experimental conditions, the variety demonstrates seedling survival rates of 76 to 100% depending on the season. In terms of total yield, the variety may be inferior to some other hybrids, but it is characterized by the ability to adapt to high temperatures.
