The plant is short, reaching a height of 60–80 cm. The ripening period is from 85 to 100 days for the original variety, while the improved version Jade Cross E matures faster, in the range of 68–90 days. The crop is distinguished by resistance to bolting and drought conditions, however, due to the weight of the upper part during ripening, the plants may require supports.
The sprouts have a round shape, a dense structure, and an average diameter of 2.5–3.5 cm. They are distinguished by a rich dark green color and a pleasant taste, which becomes more pronounced after exposure to the first frosts. The variety requires protection from cabbage pests, and some of its modifications demonstrate resistance to fungal diseases, such as Botrytis.
