Katerix F1 is a fast-growing hybrid with a vegetation period of 60–65 days from transplanting. The plant is characterized by medium size and a semi-erect position of the outer dark green leaves, which are covered with a strong waxy bloom. The leaf blade has pronounced waviness at the margin and medium blistering.
The heads have a round shape and reach a dense or very dense structure with a weight of 1–1.5 kg. The cover leaves do not have anthocyanin coloration. The variety possesses resistance to Fusarium wilt. The recommended planting density is up to 70,000 plants per hectare; the crop's purpose is the production of early produce.
