The variety is a traditional Italian population with a fairly high stem. The outer leaves of the plant are few in number, rounded in shape and slightly cup-shaped.
The heads are characterized as large and compact, have a round shape, sometimes with a blunt-conical upper part. There are sub-varieties that differ in ripening periods and head volume.
The plant is intended for cultivation with sowing in February-March. It is used mainly in fresh form, including consumption in salads, as well as boiled and stewed.
