The Zahar SP variety was created during breeding work aimed at increasing plant resistance to stress conditions. Methods of hybridizingdoubled haploid lines with lines possessing cytoplasmic male sterility were used to develop the hybrid.
A key feature of this variety is its increased sugar content, which is why it is often classified as a supersweet cabbage. Detailed agronomic data on maturity groups and morphological characteristics of the head are absent from open sources.
