The Eclipse variety is a compact decorative plant for indoor conditions. A characteristic feature is nyctinasty — the ability of the leaves to change position during the day, rising or lowering.
The plant is sensitive to the watering regime and air humidity level. Excessive soil moisture can provoke fungal diseases. In the floral industry, the variety name may be applied to a number of similar hybrids of the roseopicta group.
