The Plamen variety is characterized by a saturated orange color of inflorescences with a stable hue. The flowers are of high quality for medicinal purposes and contain a significant amount of flavonoids and carotenoids, demonstrating high antioxidant potential.

There is an improved version of the variety called Plamen Plus, which is distinguished by larger inflorescences to increase harvest weight. Both varieties require similar growing conditions, and the collected flower heads are dried in dark rooms at a temperature of 21–23 °C.
