Variety description

The plant has a compact habit with a pyramidal crown shape and a width of about 0.75 m. The leaves have a leathery texture, glossy surface, and oblong shape. Young shoots are characterized by a reddish tint.
Flowering begins in spring, starting in March. The flowers are small, white with a pinkish-red edge on the petals; the buds also have a pinkish-red color.
The variety prefers partial shade and acidic, humus-rich, moist, well-drained soils. It requires protection from direct morning sunlight and dry cold winds. It differs from related forms by its upright bush structure as opposed to weeping varieties.
