The variety is a compact evergreen shrub reaching 1.5 m in height and 0.75 m in width. The plant has a slender upright habit and small leathery glossy leaves of dark green color. Young shoots have a characteristic reddish tint.
Flowering occurs in the spring period, usually from March to May. The flowers are small, white, with a pinkish-red border on the edges of the petals; the buds are also colored pinkish-red.
The plant is intended for decorative purposes, suitable for cultivation in containers and creating borders. The variety is moderately winter hardy, withstanding temperature drops down to -12 °C. It requires protection from strong winds and direct morning sun, and also needs good soil drainage.
