Perennial vegetatively propagated plant with an upright bushy habit. Dark green leaves are collected in a basal rosette and are arranged alternately along the stem. The plant height is between 50 and 80 cm, which is somewhat less than that of the original species.
Flowers are double, white, and collected in raceme-like inflorescences. The flowering period occurs from June–August. The plant prefers sunny locations or partial shade, as well as well-drained, moderately moist soils. It tolerates excess moisture poorly during the winter period.
