The variety was obtained by crossing a Chinese landrace variety and a Hungarian monoecious strain with selection for monoecy and yield. The plant belongs to late or very late varieties, the period to technical maturity is about 110 days. Stem height is classified as medium or high.

The plant type is declared as monoecious, however, studies reveal the presence of up to 40% male individuals. The variety is characterized by high seed productivity, while the yield of total and long fiber is estimated as low or medium. The crop is adapted to the temperate climate of Europe.
