The variety was bred in the USA in the 1970s based on Afghan genetics, and later adapted in the Netherlands. Its exact pedigree is a complex mixture of various landraces. The plant is characterized by a compact structure with short internodes and broad leaves, which is typical for indica.

The flowering period is from 6 to 9 weeks. The variety is considered undemanding and exhibits resistance to fluctuations in temperature, humidity, and certain diseases. The inflorescences are distinguished by high resin production and high THC content. From an agronomic perspective, the variety is not industrial hemp and is not intended for the production of fiber or seeds.
