The plants are endemic, having adapted to the hot climate and mountainous terrain through natural selection. They are characterized as typical sativa: tall, reaching 2–2.5 meters or more, with narrow leaves, long internodes, and an elongated inflorescence structure, possessing resistance to heat and wind.

These varieties are characterized by a long vegetative and flowering period of 12 to 16 weeks. They have resinous inflorescences and are considered a genetic resource, although they are not used in industrial agriculture for fiber or seed production.
