The Entenza variety was obtained as part of a breeding program for local peppers and was previously known as Herbón. The primary goal of the selection was to preserve the external characteristics of the traditional Padrón-type pepper while completely eliminating capsaicin content.

The fruits have a triangular-bell shape with three lobes, and smooth, low-gloss green skin. The fruit size is 3.5–5.5 cm in length and 1.5–2 cm in width, with an average weight ranging from 3.5 to 4.5 g. The plant is characterized by good fruit set at high temperatures and is suitable for open field cultivation.
