The variety is an authentic local type (landrace) originating from the Florina region in Greece. The fruits are characterized by an elongated "cow horn" shape, reaching 28 cm in length and a weight of about 200 g, turning bright red at biological maturity.
The plant has an early maturity period of about 70 days and shows increased tolerance to soil salinity compared to a number of commercial hybrids. The fruits are distinguished by succulent flesh and thick walls, making them suitable for roasting, stuffing, and canning.
