The variety belongs to the species Capsicum annuum L. The plant produces fruits of a blocky, cuboid shape. The main economic value of the variety lies in its use in breeding programs to transfer resistance to Cucumber mosaic virus, which is partially transmitted from wild relatives of the species C. baccatum.

In agronomic research conditions, it is noted that in some experiments the plant may show susceptibility to specific strains of the virus. The variety is not a popular commercial product for amateur gardening and is mainly known as a genetic resource for creating resistant hybrids.
