The F1 hybrid Gelby is characterized as a mid-early variety; the period from transplanting to harvest is 65–80 days. The plant reaches medium or above-medium size.
The fruits are blocky in shape, with an average weight of 110–130 g and dimensions of 11 × 8 cm. The fruit walls are 4–6 mm thick and juicy. The color changes from cream-white at technical maturity to yellow at biological maturity.
The variety is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and film shelters; planting in open field is possible in southern regions. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and canning.
