The Romanian-bred variety "Ideal", developed at the Vegetable Research and Development Station in Buzău, appears in scientific studies dedicated to the quality characteristics of fruits under various farming systems.
Commercial forms presented for sale under the name "Идеал" are most often not related to the Romanian variety. They are characterized as early or mid-early plants with a height of 35 to 60 cm. The fruits are conical, weighing 120–180 g with a wall thickness of 5–6 mm, intended for fresh consumption, stuffing, and canning.
