The variety is a local landrace, selected and maintained in the IMIDRA germplasm bank. It was practically lost by the 1960s, but is currently undergoing a restoration process to develop traditional agriculture and ensure genetic diversity.
The plant is well-adapted to the agro-climatic conditions of the Madrid region. Official data confirm the variety's status for commercial circulation; however, detailed technical characteristics, such as fruit morphology, plant height, or resistance to specific diseases, are absent in open publications.
