The Mureș variety belongs to the species Capsicum annuum and matures in approximately 70 days. The plant is characterized by high productivity, and the fruits resemble Serrano-type peppers in shape and size.
The fruits have thin walls, a hot taste with an estimated pungency of 20 000–30 000 SHU, and a pronounced aroma. Due to its qualities, the variety is traditionally used for preparing seasonings for sausages and stews.
