The Rapires F1 hybrid is characterized by rapid growth and the ability to consistently set fruit under low light levels. The indeterminate plant forms long conical hanging fruits 15–22 cm long and 3–4 cm wide, weighing 40–70 g. At technical maturity, the pepper is light green, at biological maturity — red, and possesses an intensely hot taste.
The plant has complex resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (Tobamovirus strains, including the presence of the L3 gene and Tm2 type resistance), as well as a number of other viral and bacterial pathogens. The hybrid is suitable for year-round cultivation in controlled conditions and is suitable both for fresh consumption and for processing.
