The fruits of the variety have a characteristic wrinkled shape and a size of about 4–5 cm. Varieties of this type possess high pungency, reaching a level of 300,000 SHU, and a pronounced fruity aroma.
Plants usually reach a height of 60–80 cm, sometimes up to 1 meter or more. The crop is demanding of heat and sunlight; it is suitable for cultivation in greenhouses, open field in warm regions, and containers.
It is used primarily as a spice, for the preparation of sauces, for example, Caribbean Jerk sauce, and in fresh form as a seasoning.
