The variety Sirono is a hybrid (F1) of the species Capsicum annuum L. In early vegetable crop catalogs, it was described as a very early variety, the fruits of which reach a weight of 150–200 g, have a red color at biological maturity, and very thick walls.
During scientific trials in 1986, the variety was classified as susceptible to bacterial spot (Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria) in field conditions. The variety is also mentioned in agrotechnical studies on the use of hydrogel in substrates for pepper cultivation.
