The variety belongs to the cristata group, the inflorescences of which resemble a rooster's comb or coral in shape. The plant is an annual requiring sunlight, warmth, and well-drained soil.

Celosia is suitable for cultivation in containers and flower beds, as well as for creating arrangements of fresh or dried inflorescences. When dried properly, the plant is able to retain its original shape and color.

The species as a whole is sufficiently resistant to diseases; however, in cases of excessive moisture and stagnant water, fungal infections are possible. Supports may be required for cultivation in windy areas.
