The variety is a compact shrub or small tree. In spring, young leaves have a bright purple-bronze hue, which changes to green during the summer period. The autumn foliage coloration is characterized by pink tones.
The plant has a moderate growth rate. The frost resistance of the variety corresponds to climate zone 6 with a temperature range from -17°C to -23°C. It is used in landscaping parks and gardens as a decorative woody shrub species.
