The variety is a descendant of the Kalif variety. The plant is a shrub reaching a height of about 1.4 m. A feature of the shoots is the almost complete absence of thorns, which simplifies harvesting. The flowers are pale pink.
The fruits are round in shape, with a diameter of up to 6 cm and an average weight of 60–80 g, while individual fruits can weigh more than 100 g. The variety is early-maturing; ripening begins at the end of August. The fruits have a high content of vitamin C, sugars, acids, and pectins.
The variety is characterized as early-fruiting and productive, resistant to diseases and pests. Cross-pollination with other Chaenomeles varieties is recommended to ensure stable fruiting.
