Variety description

The plant reaches 1–1.5 m in height, and with age can grow up to 2 m with a comparable crown width. The soft scale-like needles have a characteristic luster, acquiring a more yellow tone in the sun and green-cream in the shade.
The variety possesses winter hardiness (zones 5–6), however, it is prone to damage by snow, due to which it is recommended to tie the branches during the winter period. It is resistant to major diseases and pests, but is sensitive to moisture stagnation in the soil, which provokes root rot.
Used as a solitaire, suitable for small gardens, rockeries, and container cultivation. Applied for the creation of topiary forms.
