The plant reaches 10–20 cm in height and forms 2–3 narrow basal leaves. The inflorescences consist of 3–6 star-shaped six-petaled flowers with a diameter of up to 3–4 cm, possessing a rich violet-lilac color with a white or milky throat.
The variety blooms in March–April. The plant is low-maintenance, has high winter hardiness (zone 3), and is suitable for planting in rock gardens, borders, and under trees. It prefers sunny spots or partial shade and well-drained, fertile, neutral soils.
