The variety is used in commercial floriculture and research practice, in particular for studying methods of growth management, photoperiodism, and the influence of temperature and light intensity on flowering quality. There is a variant called Dark Yellow Boaldi.

The plant possesses a functional mutation that slows down aging processes and preserves the green color of the foliage. The variety is sensitive to the technique of controlling bush height through temperature reduction at the beginning of the photoperiod.
