The variety is a mutant bred by exposing leaf explants of the Lilac Wonder variety to gamma radiation at a dose of 15 Gy under in vitro conditions. During the same research cycle, the Bronze Wonder variety was also obtained.

The plant belongs to large-flowered chrysanthemums. The main distinctive morphological feature of the variety is the red color of the inflorescences, which resulted from the conducted mutation.
