The variety belongs to small-flowered pot chrysanthemums, forming a compact semi-spherical bush. Plant height varies from 10–15 cm to 30–50 cm depending on growing conditions. Inflorescences are double, colored in orange-red or dark-red tones; there are color variations, such as yellow and dark.

The flowering period is from August–October. The plant possesses winter hardiness in USDA zone 5 (down to -23…-29 °C) provided there is covering for the winter period. Disease resistance is characterized as medium.

The variety is intended for cultivation in containers, flower arrangements, as well as for planting in flower beds and borders. In commercial catalogs, Barcelona Jogger is presented as a series, including several color varieties.
