Chrysanthemum «Spring Song» belongs to the autumn-flowering varieties. Physiological studies show that the variety is sensitive to the phenomenon of "heat delay" in flowering at mean daily temperatures above 25°C. The optimal temperature range for flowering is 10–20°C.

The variety is used primarily for scientific purposes as an object for studying the mechanisms of photoperiodism, thermoperiodism, and genetic resources in ornamental horticulture. Information on morphological plant parameters, such as height or disease resistance, is absent in the publications.
