The Sun Up variety is a Santini-type cut chrysanthemum. Externally, the inflorescences resemble a daisy and are characterized by white petals and a distinct bright yellow central part.

There are varieties with similar names, such as Sun Up Lucid and Sun Up Sunny, which are independent compact forms.
