The variety is a derivative (mutant) of the original Reagan hybrid of the species Chrysanthemum morifolium. The plant is widely used in commercial floriculture for the production of cut flowers.

Yellow Reagan is a photoperiod-sensitive variety. Under long-day conditions, the period until the onset of flowering is significantly extended; therefore, light regulation methods and the creation of short-day conditions are often applied in agricultural practices to control flowering.

During the winter period, the variety does not always demonstrate stable suitability for cutting, which may affect product quality. Data on specific resistance characteristics to diseases or pests are insufficient in available sources.
