The Admiral common chickpea variety is used in scientific research as an object for studying grain chemical composition, including protein, fat, and amino acid content. The variety also serves as a basis for studying symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria of the genus Mesorhizobium.

Work on studying grain quality formation for this variety was conducted in the Left-Bank Forest-Steppe of Ukraine. Research showed that inoculation of seeds with specific strains of M. ciceri ND-64 bacteria leads to an increase in the nitrogen-fixing activity of nodules.

Detailed morphological characteristics of the plant, data on maturity group, and lodging resistance are absent in open sources.
