The variety belongs to the Kabuli type, which is characterized by large, light-colored seeds. It was created based on the ILC 2555 breeding line developed within ICARDA programs and is oriented toward the conditions of the Mediterranean region.
In the fatty acid composition of the seeds, the palmitic acid content can reach about 11.3%. The agronomic characteristics of the variety are aimed at increasing yield and suitability for mechanized harvesting; resistance to Fusarium wilt and Ascochyta blight was also taken into account.
