The Fijne Krul Geel variety, also known as Altijd Witte, is a fine-leaved endive variety with deeply cut, curly leaves of a tender texture and a light yellow-green shade. The plant is often grown by dense sowing for subsequent harvesting of young leaves, which are optimal at a height of 8–10 cm, while mature specimens reach 15–25 cm.

The vegetation period of the variety is 50–90 days, making it suitable for summer cultivation in open field and protected cultivation. The crop is sensitive to cold, wet weather, does not possess winter hardiness, and is prone to premature bolting under unfavorable temperature conditions. The variety is also characterized by moderate sensitivity to fungal diseases.

The leaves possess the slightly bitter taste typical of endive and are intended for fresh consumption in salads.
