Mikado is a light-leaved endive variety. The plant is distinguished by its ability to form dense heads, inside of which virtually no voids are formed.

The variety is intended for autumn cultivation. Agrotechnical recommendations provide for planting no earlier than the 30th calendar week; the plant's growth rates are characterized as slow in comparison with some other varieties.
