Tarquinis is an escarole-type endive variety with broad, smooth leaves with slightly serrated edges. The plant is characterized by balanced development and a light yellow-green leaf color. The produce features a dense head structure and a specific mild bitter taste.

The variety is intended for spring cultivation and possesses high resistance to premature flowering, which allows for extending the harvesting period until June. Depending on the climatic conditions of the region, planting in open field or under protective covers is carried out in the period from January to March.
