The variety belongs to the small-fruited watermelon group, fruit weight is from 2.3 to 6.8 kg. In the international variety classification system, it is used as a reference specimen for describing certain morphological traits.

The plant has green leaves. According to the results of artificial inoculation tests, the variety is susceptible to Fusarium wilt caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum (isolate F-3).
