The variety Giza (sometimes Giza 1) is a product of the Egyptian breeding school. It is widely used in scientific research as a reference local sample and material for breeding programs aimed at increasing plant resistance.
The ripening period of the variety is about 54–56 days from the moment of pollination. The fruits have a green rind color, characteristic of the Crimson Sweet type, and red flesh. The variety is recognized as a source of resistance to spider mites.
