The Jubilee variety is a mid-season table variety for open field cultivation with a growing period of 80–90 days. The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and long vines reaching 3–5 meters. The fruits have an elongated oval shape and reach a mass of 7–13 kg, and in some cases up to 20 kg.

The rind of the fruits is dense, light green in color with characteristic dark stripes. Inside the fruit is bright red crisp flesh with a sugar content of 10–12%. The variety is characterized by high resistance to Fusarium wilt race 1 and anthracnose.

In agricultural practice, the name Jubilee is often used as a watermelon type to designate striped fruits of an elongated shape. There is also a Russian variety Yubileyniy 72, which is an independent selection, possesses spherical fruits of smaller mass, and differs from the American prototype Jubilee.
