Sentinel F1 is a mid-season hybrid with a ripening period of 100 to 120 days after transplanting. The plant has strong growth and powerful foliage that protects the fruits from sunburn. The hybrid is suitable for cultivation in the open field and under temporary covers.

The fruits have an elongated-blocky shape and are colored with dark broad stripes on a light background. The average fruit weight is 11–16 kg. The flesh is bright red, juicy, crisp, with a sugar content of about 12 Brix and low fiber content. The thick rind ensures good transportability over long distances.

The hybrid shows resistance or tolerance to Fusarium wilt (race 1) and downy mildew. The primary purpose of the produce is for sale on the fresh market.
